Welcome to our Picnics!
Well, it’s been a steep learning curve but here we are launching website and blog, celebrating a new logo and taking delivery of some cool new items for the business – but more on that for a later blog!
We’ll use the blog to give you an insight on how we do things in Wild Picnic land – how we develop our menus, how we resource our ever growing but still bijou Scottish business and all the things picnic-y that make us excited about getting out of bed every morning.
So, after a hugely busy week, the website is up and running, though still very much a work in progress (so ignore the spelling and occasional dodgy link just at the moment – we’re working on it!). However, we are delighted to have fine tuned our logo!
Being a Scottish company we really wanted a thistle in our logo and for our branding. But, we could only find ones that were a bit ‘meh’ or just not quite right. Then we remembered an old pal from the Isle of Bute – artist Ruth Slater – and thought “Hmmm, could Ruth help us out?” Could she!
These two little beauties (see below) arrived today and boy, were we chuffed. So, after a bit of scanning and some editing jiggery-pokery we reformatted our new logo, using the left-hand thistle, just in time to send it off to the printer for stickers to pop on our re-usable sandwich wraps! We love them both, so we will find a way to use our wee magenta thistle in some way!
So, all logo-ed up, website (almost) done – we’ll be celebrating with a well earned glass of something cold and refreshing and maybe a quiet lie down somewhere…….
……and we highly recommend checking our Ruth’s website – her work is just gorgeous!
